What do you do when someone no longer wants to finish the group activity you are playing? How do we navigate disappointment when others don’t want to chose what we want them too? How can I communicate to my friends I don’t like other people touching my art work as it causes me anxiety? These are all very real scenarios that children need to navigate everyday and it makes sense to teach them how to do this in a respectful way during natural interactions.

The small group setting allows children time for playful interactions, with an opportunity to practice the skills as they learn them in a safe environment. The facilitator guides interactions gently towards a positive outcome of respectful relationships as the children learn to utilise their newfound knowledge and skills.

Craft activities provide children with the perfect opportunity to practice fine motor skills while learning and interacting with their peers.
